What each generator documents about marking its output

Who can check whether a file is marked

One entry publishes a checking route: an uploaded image, video or audio clip can be checked for the watermark inside the vendor's own assistant. Every other entry on this site publishes no route for anyone else to check anything. As of 2026-09-12.

Whether anyone outside the vendor can establish that a file carries its mark. Recorded 2026-09-12.

Inclusion rule. Entries read against one question: does a public page describe a way to check a file for this mark. A route the vendor describes as limited or in testing is recorded with that note. Order. Entries with a published route first.

1A mark nobody can check is only half a mechanism

Marking output is one job and letting somebody else confirm the mark is another. Almost everything on this site does the first: a logo in the corner, a field in the container, a watermark in the pixels. Almost nothing does the second in a way that reaches whoever receives the file rather than whoever made it.

That asymmetry is the most consequential gap in the record. A viewer, a broadcaster or a platform receiving a file has, on the published evidence, no route at all for five of the six entries here.

2Checking inside the vendor's own product is a real route with a real boundary

It works, it is published, and it is bounded by the vendor's own surface. Whoever wants to check has to bring the file to that product, which is fine for a curious individual and awkward for an organisation with a pipeline.

This site records what is published rather than what would be convenient. The route exists; the boundary is part of the fact and is recorded with it.

3Why this page will change before most others

Detection is the part of this field moving fastest, because it is where the pressure from platforms and regulators lands. The five empty rows here are the ones most likely to gain a sentence in the next year.

When they do, the entry will say who published it, what it covers, and the date it was read, which is the same treatment the one populated row gets today.
