What each generator documents about marking its output

Kling AI's free plan states its watermark outright

Kling AI's membership page says output on the free Basic plan carries a brand watermark. It is a sentence rather than a gap in a grid, which makes this one of the sturdier cells in this column. As of 2026-09-12.

A sentence and an absence, read the same dayThis cell rests on a line that is printed on the vendor's page. Three other rows in the same column rest on a line that is missing from the free column of a feature grid. Both are recorded, and they are labelled differently because a redesign of the page destroys one kind of evidence and not the other.A printed sentenceA missing lineWhat was readA statement in the benefit listA feature line absent from one columnAfter a redesignStill there, or visibly goneHas to be re-established from scratchWhat it supportsFree output carries a markThe free plan is not offered the featureRows like it hereThree generatorsFive generatorsBoth readings live in this column, labelled apart

Inclusion rule. One row for the value, one for the sentence or absence behind it, one for the method. Nothing here is drawn from output, support replies or coverage by anyone else. Order. Fixed order: the value, then its evidence, then the method.

Inclusion rule. Generators whose own pages carry a sentence about free-plan output, rather than leaving the answer to be inferred from a line printed against the paid columns. Order. Alphabetical by generator name.

1A sentence ages differently from a gap

Most rows in this column are readings of something that is not on the page. This one is a reading of something that is. The distinction matters when a pricing page is redesigned: a sentence survives a change of layout and stays quotable, while an omission has to be re-established from scratch every time the columns move.

It also survives translation into a different sales structure. If Kling reorganised its memberships tomorrow, the claim that free output carries a brand watermark would either still be printed or visibly gone. An omission gives no such signal, because a line can vanish for reasons that have nothing to do with the product.

2What brand watermark does not tell a reader

Two words is a small budget for describing a mark. Nothing here says where it sits on the frame, how large it is, whether it moves, whether it appears on every export format or only on some, or what happens to it under a crop. Those are the questions an editor asks and none of them is answered on any page this row is read from.

The register does not fill them in from a screenshot. A mark visible in one downloaded clip is one clip, not a documented behaviour, and a site built from vendor statements has no honest way to promote that into a cell. The fields stay at not documented and the gap is left visible.

3The free plan here is a standing tier, not a trial

Basic is described as a membership rather than an evaluation window, which changes who the cell describes. On several other rows the unmarked file and the exhausted allowance arrive at the same moment, so free output is something a person produces once while deciding. Here it is something a person can keep producing indefinitely.

For anyone assembling footage from several contributors that is the more consequential half of the row. A collaborator on Basic hands over marked material from the same prompt that a colleague on Ultra hands over clean, and neither of them necessarily knows which state their file is in.
