SceneMixer's free output and a default-on switch
SceneMixer's guide says a visible watermark is applied to composited episodes and is on by default, with no plan named beside it. This column therefore records a default rather than a free-tier condition. As of 2026-09-12.

1A column built for tiers, holding a default
This column was defined to answer a question about payment: what does output carry before anyone pays. On five rows that question has no purchase in it, because the vendor never ties the mark to a plan. Rather than leave those cells empty, the register records the documented default and labels the evidence class differently.
The consequence here is that the free and paid cells on this generator say almost the same thing. That is not a defect in the reading; it is the shape of a product whose mark is a setting. A reader scanning the paid column for a crossing point finds a sentence about a switch instead, which is the finding.
2Applied at compositing, which decides which files carry it
The guide places the mark at compositing, the step where separate generated segments become an episode. One word does a lot of work: the deliverable carries the mark and the intermediate clips do not. No other entry in this register localises its mark to a pipeline stage.
For a production that matters more than the tier would. Material pulled out of the middle of a pipeline behaves differently from the finished episode, so two files from the same project can be in different states without anyone changing a setting. A register that recorded only marked or unmarked would lose that distinction entirely.
3On by default is a claim about a starting state
The value here is not that output is marked but that it is marked until somebody turns the setting off. Those are different claims and they fail differently. A default can be changed once and forgotten, so the state of a file depends on a decision taken at an unknown earlier time by whoever held the account.
The guide's stated reason for turning it off is worth noting here because it is not about money: a publishing platform that adds a label of its own would otherwise put two labels on one frame. That is an operational argument, and it is the only condition the page attaches to the switch.
