1A badge on free output, as on most of the register

On a free account the corner badge is applied at delivery and stays, because the switch that removes it belongs to paid members. That is the common shape here: the visible mark marks the free tier, and a paid plan is what lifts it.

What is not common is what sits under it. The terms describe a second, invisible layer, a compression-resistant watermark or content credential, applied on every plan and never removed.

2Applied at delivery, and changed only going forward

The product pages place the badge at delivery, when the finished file is handed over, and say that switching it off applies to renders made afterwards rather than to files already delivered. A file's state therefore follows the setting at the moment it was made.

That is a clearer rule than most rows here give. A reader can tell from the date of a file and the date of a change which state the file is in, without guessing.

3Why a free file is the easiest one to trace

A free file carries both layers: the badge a viewer sees and the invisible layer software can look for. Anyone receiving footage made on a free account is holding a file as fully marked as any this register describes.

The limit is the reader. The terms publish no tool for checking the invisible layer, so for now its value rests on the contract rather than on a check a recipient can run.
