Pika's free plan, where an icon carries the meaning
Pika's pricing page repeats watermark-free download under every plan, so the words settle nothing. The free-tier value is read from the icon beside that line, a crossed circle rather than a tick. As of 2026-09-12.

1A grid where the text is the same in every column
Feature grids usually work by subtraction: a line appears under the plans that include it and is simply absent elsewhere. Pika does something else. The line is printed under all four plans and the distinction is carried entirely by a small glyph beside it, a tick on Pro and Fancy and a crossed circle on Basic and Standard.
That is a legitimate design and a trap for anything that reads text. Strip the markup from that page and every plan claims watermark-free download. A register built by copying visible strings would record this row backwards, and so would any summariser working from the extracted text of the page.
2Two lines crossed for the price of one
The crossed icon on Basic and Standard does not sit beside watermark-free download alone. Commercial use carries the same glyph on the same two plans, so the free answer and the licence answer are identical here and move together. A studio on either of those plans has two separate reasons not to publish the file.
Elsewhere in this register those two boundaries come apart, which is why they are recorded in different rows rather than merged into a single verdict about publishability. On this generator they happen to coincide; that coincidence is a fact about this pricing page and not a general rule.
3The $8 plan is where this row gets interesting
Standard is a paid subscription whose output is still marked. That makes Pika one of two rows here where paying something is not the same as paying enough, and it is the reason the free column and the paid column on this generator cannot be collapsed into a single yes or no about money.
It also explains why the free-tier cell is phrased as no watermark-free download rather than as free output is marked. The page never describes the mark; it describes the absence of a download option. Recording the wording the vendor actually used keeps the difference between those two claims visible.
