Most plan-gated rows put every file made under a subscription into one state. Here the subscription unlocks a switch rather than a state, so a paid member can deliver marked files for a client review and clean files for the master from one account on the same afternoon.
It is still a plan benefit. On a free account the switch is not offered, and the badge stays.
2Forward only, which keeps a record of sorts
The switch applies to renders made after it is moved, not to files already delivered. A file's state therefore follows the setting at the time it was made, and a team that logs when the switch was moved can reconstruct which deliveries carried the badge.
That is weaker than an invoice and stronger than a setting that rewrites history. It is the trade this register records rather than judges.
3What the switch does not reach
The terms say output carries an invisible, compression-resistant watermark or content credential as well as the visible label, and that the invisible layer is never removed. The switch is a control over what a viewer sees, not over what software can find.
The product's compliance guide also gives a practical case for turning the badge off: a publishing platform that adds a label of its own would otherwise put two labels on one frame.
