The column that is empty on five of six

Five of the six entries on this site record machine-readable marking as not documented. That is a statement about published pages, not about what the files contain: a vendor may write something into the container without ever saying so. As of 2026-09-12.

Inclusion rule. Generators on this site read against one question: does any public page name a field, a format or a standard written into the output. Order. Alphabetical by vendor name.

1Not documented is not the same as not present

An encoder writes metadata whether or not a marketing page mentions it. The claim this column makes is narrow and checkable: no public page of this vendor names a field, a format or a standard. Anything beyond that would require opening files, which is a different activity with different failure modes.

The distinction matters when somebody quotes this site. Five empty cells are evidence that the question is not being answered publicly, and they are not evidence that the answer is no.

2One entry comes closer than the others and still does not fill the cell

SceneMixer's guide tells publishers to preserve whatever content credentials or generation metadata the tool writes, and warns that re-encoding through an editor that strips metadata removes that layer. That is an acknowledgement that something is written, without saying what.

Read carefully it is also a warning about fragility: a signal that does not survive ordinary handling is not one a downstream party can rely on. That sentence is the most useful thing any generator here publishes about the inside of the file, and it still leaves the field unenumerated.

3Why the site keeps a column it cannot fill

Dropping it would make the table tidier and would hide the finding. The single most consistent fact across this record is that the visible mark is discussed everywhere and the invisible one almost nowhere, and a table without the empty column cannot show that.

The column will fill in the ordinary way: when a vendor names a format, the cell gets the name and a date. Until then five entries say not documented and the reader knows exactly how much that claim covers.
